-1 = - x2/4; x = ± 2;∫
a) v = π∫-22(1 - x4/16)dx = 2π(x - x5/80)02 = 3.2π
b) v = π∫-22[(2 - x2/4)2 - 12]dx = 112π/15
c) v = π ∫-22[22 - (1 + x2/4)2]dx = 128π/15

Part a should be (1-x^2/4)^2= 1 - x^2/2 + x^4/16 ? Axis of revolution is a boundary for the region.09/13/23

Derek, I will make you a deal. Take a look at the following graph, take some notes, and let us know what you are not sure about. The only answer I disagree with is the revolution about y = -1. The others I think are correct. You can visit the graph by selecting the following URL, right-clicking, and choosing Go to.,, desmos.com/calculator/yajdppltzr09/13/23

Small error I noticed on the third one. In third to last line I have 3*1, should be 3*2. Answer should be fine though.09/16/23
