Can anyone learn how to play the drums?

YES! A RESOUNDING YES!

Of course some people are born with more natural ability than others, but in my 10+ years of teaching, I've never worked with a student who couldn't learn how to play the instrument. Most first time students can play their first beat by the end of just one lesson!

As a person who teaches music lessons to other people, I've noticed that I have struggled with the drums during the beginning phases much more than others. However even by the end of one session you can learn something new regardless of your skill, talent, or dexterity when playing musical instruments. Even though most instruments require a high skill cap in order to become a professional or even a proficient player, certain simple instruments like the piano, or the drums can be easily picked up by anyone as young as 5 years of age.
