Match the phrase/term to the correct definition/description

A. probability obtained from the "counting method"

B. events that have no outcomes in common

C. situation that can be repeated for which the set of possible outcomes is known

D. collection of all possible outcomes of a random process

E. probability interpreted as a measure of the strength of one's belief that a particular outcome will occur

F. the proportion of times the event occurs over the relative frequency with which the event occurs if the random process is repeated

1. random process

2. sample space

3. probability

4. theoretical probability

5. subjective judgement

6. disjoint events

Kayla M., You should be able to match at least some of these just by paying attention to the meaning of specific words in them. As an example, "B" and 6, since "no outcomes in common" means the two events never give the same (i.e., joint) outcome. Similarly with the rest of them. There's always a tip-off; some definitions are obviously probabilities, and some are other classifications of objects.
