Same name drawn from the 16 names in a hat on 3 consecutive occasions (with replacement)

There are 16 ping pong balls in a container, each with a different persons name (16 people). What are the odds that the same person's name gets drawn on 3 consecutive occasions.

What is the probability of flipping 3 heads in a row? This question is analogous, except that we have 1 out of 16 instead of 1 out of 2 for each draw (or flip in the case off a coin). Give it a try!

And how is this typically expressed? There is a 1 in 4096 chance that the same name name gets drawn 3 consecutive times?

No problem! I'm guessing you can understand why the answer is (1/16)^3.

I think so but your explanation might be helpful. Each time that person draws a name the chance is 1 in 16 that he draws his own name.
