I was trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach in the fall of 2021. Since being trained, I am using Orton-Gillingham in my reading intervention groups. I have found great success with this method and the students enjoy learning.
Can you share your experience with Orton Gillingham?

Hi!
From what perspective are you interested in? As a teacher or a learner?

Orton Gillingham was first shared with me in 2019. I was taught a few different components of OG to start using in my classroom. I was then fully trained in Orton Gillingham in December of 2021. I got explicit training through the whole OG curriculum. I started using Orton Gillingham immediately in small groups throughout 2022. I also used Orton Gillingham one on one tutoring students. I now use Orton Gillingham daily in my classroom as my phonics instruction with my kindergarten students. I use all components of an Orton Gillingham lesson throughout the week to teach letters and concepts. I have also attended two additional Orton Gillingham refresher trainings to make sure that I am up to date on the content in the OG lessons
