asked 02/23/23Find the bearing and speed.
A bee is flying in a straight line in a level plane west to east. You spot the bee 60 meters away at bearing N57W. Four seconds later the bee is directly north of you. At that instant, you shoot a rubber band at the bee to hit it. The rubber band travels in a straight line in the same plane as the flight of the bee, and it strikes the bee 2 seconds later. At what bearing did you shoot the rubber band, and what was the speed of the rubber band? hint: distance = speed * time.

Draw and label a diagram!
How fast is the bee flying?
How far did the bee travel after you shot at it?
Now use d = r * t to determine speed of killer rubber band!
