Reading to my students is a part of teaching them phonics, in allowing them to just enjoy the story. I want my students to relish reading, therefore I choose appropriate reading materials suitable to their age and interests. It is music to my ears to hear the student laugh and just enjoy a good story. And when the student wants to learn to read, the reading process is much more favorable.
