Effective Tutoring Towards Real Understanding in Math and Science.
Unfortunately there isn't a definite answer to that question. When an electronic device gets wet, the main question is weather or not anything was damaged. This can be caused by corrosion, residues, shorting a circuit, or other problems. If your I-Pods behavior is a result of a momentary short causing minor issue with bad information, then a reset would fix it. If there is any physical damage (a major short damaging an electrical path, some mineral or material that was in the water left behind when the water dried, or other issues) then a reset is not likely to help. The best advice I can give is keep the power off and keep the device in rice for at least 24 hours (if you haven't already done so for such a time frame), and then try to turn it on, and as you suggest, a reset may fix a minor problem, but there are many other issues that a reset would not fix. Something many people don't realize is that the sooner you turn it on to check and see if it works, the more likely you are to damage it. One should try to keep the power off until the unit has had time to completely dry (inside and out). Even then, problems can still happen. Good luck.
P.S. Not really a tutor-esque question.
