Five less than a number is greater than 10.  

This is an inequality problem. Write inequality statement for this problem and then solve the inequality. Include a description of what numbers are part of the solution set for this problem in your Findings Statement.

wouldn't it be N-5<10 as an inequality statement and n > 15, once solved?

n-5 > 10

Just add 5 to each side of the inequality to isolate n. So n > 15.

The inequality symbol will be flipped if multiplying or dividing both sides by a negative number.

This means < changes to >, and vice versa. This is not the case here for this problem.
