asked 11/25/22Problem with an echo
The tutoring is going great. However in the last session, I had a trouble with a loud echo. Since I am trying to learn how to speak Japanese this echo makes it tough. The tutor's voice is fine with no echo but when I respond my voice echos badly back to me. This is the first time I experienced this on your system. What do you think is creating this problem? Can it be corrected on your end or should I look into my laptop?

Hi Janet! That can be really frustrating, especially when trying to learn a language that requires really being able to hear what the other person is saying very clearly. Did you let your tutor know you were having this issue? If you haven't had this issue previously, it is likely to be on your tutor's end with the way their microphone and speaker are set up. I would let them know the issue that you're having, and sometimes it works better if they (or both of you) use headphones that have a microphone. That way the sound from the speakers doesn't echo back into the microphone!
I hope that helps!
