What is the difference between yamenaide and tomenaide?

What is the difference between yamenaide and tomenaide since they both translate as "no stop" in the dictionary.

Yameru is the verb "to quit" and tomeru is the verb "to stop". Basically, yameru is ending or discontinuing an action while tomeru is stopping something or an action. Here's an example.. if I am trying to "quit" my job and my friend is trying to stop me then I would say something like.. "shigoto wo yametai" (I want to quit my job) "tomodachi ga boku wo tometa" (my friend stopped me).

"Yamenaide" is used more in a general sense of "don't stop (whatever you're doing/trying to do)", while "tomenaide" is used more towards the current action that some object is doing. I think "yameru" is directed more towards a person or other animate objects, while "tomeru" is used for inanimate objects...
