Simplify the limit lim (numerator)/(denominator) lim x -> 0 (sin ax)/(ab). The answer will be in the form numerator/denominator.

Is the denominator supposed to be ax instead of ab?

No… it’s ab

I got this text from my teacher…whatever we have in the 'angle' position, we also need in the denominator to be able to use the limit that =1 from our formula sheet. She didn’t tell the answer rather said this. And also the answer is numerator/denominator and the denominator was b which was correct… but my numerator was wrong

Siya, the answer of zero that Yefim S. gave IS CORRECT for the problem as you stated it. See https://www.wolframalpha.com/input?key=&i2d=true&i=Limit%5BDivide%5Bsin%5C%2840%29ax%5C%2841%29%2Cab%5D%2Cx-%3E0%5D for the computerized answer. So either you or your teacher messed up in giving the problem.
