If the question is how many different committees of people, then it is simply "11 choose 4" or 11C4 = 11!/(4!7!) and the labels of boys and girls are irrelevant.
If it is about how many different committees with different numbers of boys and girls (with no distinctions other than gender), it is 24 because there are enough of either group to cover the committee spots (in which case the 5 and 6 are irrelevant)
