Two buses leave towns 1841

 kilometers apart at the same time and travel toward each other. One bus travels 9

 kmh

 slower than the other. If they meet in 7

 hours, what is the rate of each bus?

Let x = rate of the faster bus. Then x - 9 = rate of the slower bus

Distance = (rate)(time)

They meet when distance of faster bus + distance of slower bus = 1841

So, 7x + 7(x - 9) = 1841

Solve for x.
