The implementation of Juvenile Courts is one of the most unethical programs and adjustments to be made in the last 10 years. It allows emergency hearing to take place while granting temporary jurisdiction to a court on the grounds of "imminent" need. Where this could be useful in some cases. Sadly, it is abused more by courts and social workers than it has done good
Initially, all cases of family court had to remain within the jurisdictional court or the court where you originally filed. If a person needed to move their case to another court they would be required to petition to the jurisdictional court request a change of venue. This is of most important because it keeps the courts familiar with the case having control over any outcomes.
Juvenile court became a way for social workers to remove kids, change custody, and were not required to refer cases back to its original court. This is dangerous because with certain powers pertaining to life altering circumstances, it can become abusive to innocence and detour from justice. Cases surrounding the welfare of children are particularly complicated for many reasons but mostly because children tend to mislead adults to create an outcome. In order for an emergency to be present there needs to be much stricter guidelines protecting families for unethical and abusive practices done within the juvenile court systems. The family courts need to regain control over the rogue juvenile courts. Also, a governance board to monitor the federally issued funds and make sure they are being used appropriately.
