Math and science made easy - learn from a retired engineer
Let "x" represent the full (regular) price of a ticket (in $'s). Then (x - 5) would be the cost of a discount ticket.
So four discount tickets would be 4(x - 5) and three full price tickets would be 3x.
4(x - 5) + 3x = 92
4x - 20 + 3x = 92
7x - 20 = 92
7x = 112
x = 16
So the regular (full) price is $16 and the discount price is $11
