As Given that Total Number of seats for people = 320

Let the number of seats in each row be 'x' .

and then the number of rows = x-4.

Therefore, x(x-4) = 320

x² - 4x - 320=0

x² - 20x -16x -320 = 0

x(x-20) - 16( x-20) =0

(x-20) (x-16) =0

Hence , x=20 or x=16

If the number of seats in each row=20 , then number of rows = x-4 = 20-4 = 16.

& If the number of seats in each row = 16, then number of rows =x-4 =16-4 = 12
