i.(2−𝑥)(𝑥−7)=3

ii.4(3𝑥−2)≤8𝑥+1<10

i) Multiply out and use quadratic formula.

ii) Separate into two statements that apply:

12x-8 ≤ 8x+1

4x ≤ 9

x ≤ 9/4

8x+1 < 10

8x < 9

x < 9/8

Only the second part applies a constraint on x.
