Here are some tips for preparing for the MCAT:
Start early: The MCAT is a long and challenging exam, so it's important to give yourself plenty of time to study and prepare. Aim to start studying at least 4-6 months in advance of your exam date.
Make a study schedule: It's important to have a structured study plan in place to help you stay on track and make the most of your time. Break your study sessions into manageable chunks and set aside specific times each week to focus on studying.
Use a variety of study resources: In addition to using a review book or course, consider supplementing your studies with practice tests, online resources, and other study materials. This can help you get a well-rounded understanding of the content covered on the exam.
Take practice tests: Practice tests can be a valuable tool for helping you gauge your progress and identify any areas where you need to focus your studies. Take practice tests under test-like conditions to get a sense of what the actual exam will be like.
Seek support: Don't be afraid to ask for help if you're struggling with any concepts or content. Consider working with a tutor or joining a study group to get additional support.
Manage your stress: The MCAT can be a stressful experience, so it's important to take care of yourself and manage your stress levels. Get enough sleep, eat well, and make time for activities that help you relax and recharge.
I am happy to meet to discus specific strategies and tips for honing in on passages that directly apply to you.

Strategies for both test taking in general with regard to time management and accuracy are crucial to test takers in the health professions. Students can work within their own learning styles and preferences to develop good habits and a variety of approaches to addressing a passage, eliminating answer choices and highlighting or note taking efficiently to help them succeed. One example for the MCAT and USMLE is the option to read the question stem first to guide the first reading of the passage.
Additionally, reviewing both incorrect and correct answers after answering a set of questions is crucial to "finding your gaps" (gap analysis in adult education parlance) to guide further study.!
