Integers and fractions

I just solved a math problem about absolute maximum and absolute minimum, but the problem is that my professor wants the answer as an integer or a fraction not decimal. These are the solutions below:

f(x)=(-1)^3e^(-1)=-0.367879441

f(x)=(0)^3e^(0)=0

f(x)=(1)^3e^(1)=2.718281828

Or does my professor want an indication of where the absolute maximum and absolute minimum are by saying the absolute maximum is at 1 and the absolute minimum is at -1?

Would he be happy with a fraction such as -1 / e ? Also, what about x = -3?
