asked 07/08/22Integers and fractions
I just solved a math problem about absolute maximum and absolute minimum, but the problem is that my professor wants the answer as an integer or a fraction not decimal. These are the solutions below:
f(x)=(-1)^3e^(-1)=-0.367879441
f(x)=(0)^3e^(0)=0
f(x)=(1)^3e^(1)=2.718281828

Mathematics Teacher - NCLB Highly Qualified
Assuming f(x) = x3ex
f'(x) = (ex)(x2)(x + 3)
Local and global minium at x = -3
f(-3) = -27 / e3

Or does my professor want an indication of where the absolute maximum and absolute minimum are by saying the absolute maximum is at 1 and the absolute minimum is at -1?07/08/22
