Notice that y = 1/(f(3x-9))-1 @ (2,-8) becomes -8 = 1/(3(2)-9)) - 1 which => -8 = 1/f(-3) -1 . Rearrange things and you get -7 = 1/f(-3) which => f(-3) = 1/-7 . So the ordered pair is now (-3,-1/7) .
