asked 04/21/22A tank is full of water.
A tank is full of water. Find the work W required to pump the water out of the spout. (Use 9.8 m/s2 for g. Use 1000 kg/m3as the weight density of water. Assume that a = 4 m, b = 4 m, c = 6 m, and d = 1 m.)

HMMM...a diagram would be useful and where the water was to pumped to would also be useful.
But in principal locate the initial location of the water's center of mass and final location of the center of mass.
You then have the water's mass moved form the entire height to the final height. You find the water's mass by calculating water density * the initial water volume.
Note: The potential energy of a mass at height h is the mass * g * h.

I think there is an image with this question that you didn't provide. We don't know the shape of the tank and what lengths a, b, c and d refer to, so without a picture or description, we cannot help you.04/22/22
