I was given this summation problem and I thought that it would converge to cos(2.4), but got the question wrong. Are you able to show how to solve this problem? Thanks!

This is an infinite geometric series with the first term equal cos(2.4) and the common ratio equal cos(2.4).
Since |cos (2.4)| < 1 the series converges. Let R = cos(2.4),then S = R/(1-R).
