If you’ve sent a request on Wyzant and want to remove it, the process is usually handled directly through your account, since requests can’t always be “undone” in the same way across all situations.
When you’re on the platform, you typically start by going to your **messages or lesson requests section**, where you can find the conversation or request you submitted. From there, if the tutor hasn’t accepted or scheduled anything yet, you may see an option to cancel or withdraw the request. If that option is available, selecting it will remove the request from the tutor’s active queue.
In cases where the request has already been viewed or responded to, Wyzant may not allow a full deletion, but you can still stop the process by politely messaging the tutor and letting them know you no longer want to proceed. That effectively ends the request on the tutoring side.
If you can’t find a cancel option, the next step is usually to go into your account settings or help section and contact Wyzant support directly. They can manually help you remove or close out a request if needed.
In general, the key idea is that requests are managed through your messages and lesson history, and cancellation depends on whether the session has already been accepted or scheduled.
