Should I accept a job that's not as structured (from reviews) but a better salary or stay with the current one I'm with (that's structured) but be paid less?

Recently got a job offer from a company that has a better pay rate. The only downfall is there are no benefits and I have to use my own laptop. With my current company, I'm with a structured MSP but the pay is a bit low for the work load I'm doing. They offer me great benefits, in addition to equipment (company laptop, headset and two monitors)

The company seems a bit sketchy too as they are an IT company that's based out of California and India but they are hiring remote workers in Canada (me lol)

There are little to no reviews online but they do have a company website.

I currently make $43,000 + and with this one it will be $55,000. What should I do? Both jobs are remote btw.

Hi Allan: I am not really feeling too good about the new company with the light background info. I would do some more research on both companies prior to making a decision. I would go to the Glass Door site and find out more about both. Glass Door gives you info on the company, their past and future and the average amount of salary for individual jobs. Check on the average rate of pay for your job in the area where you live in Canada. Are you at salary, above or below? What kind of future is possible at your current job? Can they afford to pay you more? The stock market is very bumpy at this time and might not be a great time to make a company jump. Good luck! CW
