Do you mean 4t^2 + 1t + 5?
Multiply the exponent by the coefficient. Subtract 1 from the exponent.
8t + 1.
f'(a) means substitute a for t: 8a + 1
If it really is 4t + 1t + 5, that = 5t + 5. The derivative is 5.
f'(a) = 5
