use the given values of x to set up a table to evaluate the limit. Round your solution to eight decimal places

Lim sin3x/x

x-->0

x Sin 3x/x x Sin 3x/x
-0.1
0.1
-0.01
0.01
-0.001
0.001
-0.0001
0.0001

This is just a matter of using a calculator to plug in the values of x into the equation, so sin( 3(-0.1) ) / (-0.1), sin( 3(-0.01) ) / -(0.01), etc. After calculating all of the values, try to identify what number the values in the table are getting closer to.

But it is important to remember that no matter how many values you plug in, you can only GUESS the limit; to PROVE the limit you must use the definition of a limit.

However, that being said, if your L+ and your L- values are converging to an obvious identical value, that's a good indication you've got it. Here, knowing in advance that lim sin(x)/x is 1 as x->0, you should be able to reason out the stated limit, right?
