for f(x) = 1 - cosx, the limit of f(x) as x approaches 0 is 0. Just plug in x= 0 to get f(0) = 1- cos(0) = 1-1 = 0
three of the graphs describe functions that have no limit as x approaches 0. the limit is undefined.
for the 1st graph as x approaches zero, f(x) approaches zero, but it is not a graph of f(x) = 1 - cosx. It describes a different function.
