It looks like it’s setting up a related rates question based on the information given … did it give you anything related to the values of x and y? usually there would be an underlying relationship between those variables like y = x^2 that you could then apply the chain rule to as part of simplifying. Like in that context you would end up with
dy/dt = 2x * dx/dt and then you could plug in the given values in order to solve for the missing value algebraically
