ok, so we're looking for the probability that either (at least one) of the birds goes right.
One way to do this is to find the probability that they both go left, and then the complement of this is our answer!
So the probability that a chicken goes left is 0.25 and the probability that the duck goes left is 0.4. So the probability they both go left is 0.25 x 0.4 = 0.1 So the probability that at least one of them goes right is 1 - 0.1 = 0.9 and that's your answer!
