ok so Over the course of a year, a company goes from 115 employees to 124 employees. how do i build an equation

the company goes from 115 employees to 124 i need this in the form of an equation using the *100 at the end how do i do this??

I'm guessing you want to find the percent increase in the number of employees, which is 

 

[ (Employees at end) - (Employees at beginning) ] / (Employees at beginning) 

 

which is then multiplied by 100 to convert to a percentage.  In this case that is 

 

[ (124 -115) / 115 ] * 100 = (9/115) * 100 = 0.07826 * 100 = 7.826 %
