Pemutations and combinations

In case, find n:

a) nP4 = 30 nC4.

b) nCn−2 = 10.

Question A has solutions but they are not feasible if 30 is a factor and not part of the subscript. Is 30n a subscript or just the n? Question B has no solution in that form. Is the n-2 the subscript or just n?
