The Jones' den is 16ft by 22ft, how many square yards of carpet are needed to cover the whole floor? If the carpet costs $108.98 per square yard installed (including pad and labor), how much will it cost to carpet this den? [you can not buy a portion of a square yard] answer= $4,359

Referencing the Jones' family room again, they have 8 foot ceilings and plan to paint the walls with a new color to coordinate with the carpet. How many square feet of wall space do they need to paint? A gallon of paint covers 350 square feet, how many gallons of paint are needed to put two coats of paint on the walls? You cannot buy a part of a gallon.

The family room one more time. The cost of the paint per gallon is $28.98. How much will it cost to put two coats of paint on the walls? What is the total cost for this home improvement project?
