Given parallelogram ABCD, use the information provided by the parallelogram to answer the ff.

  1. Parallelogram ABCD is a rhombus. If m<ADC = 42° what is m<ADE?
  2. Parallelogram ABCD is a rectangle. The mAD= 3x-12, what is mBC if mBC = x + 10?
  3. Parallelogram ABCD is a square. If m<AEB = 3x-12, find the value of x.

Jon S.

You need to identify where point E is in the parallelogram for 1 and 3. For 2, you just need to set x + 10 = 3x - 12, solve for x, then plug into the expression for mBC.
