given linear equation is y = (4/7)x + 4
the given form is slope intercept form y = mx + b
( where m is the slope of the linear eq or straight line,
x - the x co ordinate value,
b - the y co ordinate where x value = 0)
our requirement is to change into standard form
the standard form is ax + by = c
so convert the above equation to this form
y = (4/7)x +4
taking lcm =7
y = (4x +28) /7
7y = 4x +28
equation in standard form
= -4x+7y = 28
or 4x - 7y = -28
cross verification
7y = 28+4x
y = (28+4x)/7
y = 4+ (4/7)x
= y = (4/7)x+4 ---------> the given equation in y = mx+b form.
