To manually graph the equation y = x/(x-2), you need to find the following first:
(1) The vertical asymptote is x = 2;
(2) The horizontal asymptote is y = 1; (From here, you see that as x → + ∞, y → 1; x → - ∞, y → 1.)
(3) Both the x- and y-intercept are (0, 0).
Using these as guideline, you should be able to sketch the graph manually. Hope this help.
