We evaluate the partial derivative with respect to x which is -e*x-e-1 and then evaluate it at x=a2 to obtain -ea-2(e+1).We don't care about the term involving y because when we take the partial derivative with respect to x it will vanish.
Therefore, the correct answer is the first one.
