Differentiate f(x)=sin(x)+7/9cot(x)

Would the Sum rule be used so the answer cos(x)-csc^2(x)

Is the 2nd term 7/9 times cot(x) or is it 7 divided by 9cot(x)?

Wouldn't the derivative of 7/9 be zero though since its a constant?
