would like to know is there a difference between wifi and ssid?

SSID is the name of the WiFi router signal. If your router is broadcasting on multiple frequencies, 2.4GHx and 5GHz, you can have two SSID's in your WiFi list.


WiFi is just the name for having a network signal broadcast via RF instead of needing a cable.
