Recall that the slope m of a nonvertical line that passes through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by the following.

Recall that the slope m of a nonvertical line that passes through the points (x1y1)

 and (x2y2)

m=y2-y1/x2-x1

We are given that the line passes through the points (6, 4) and (5, 7). Let (x1y1) = (6, 4).

Therefore, (x2y2) = 5
