Raffle probability

Nend to settle an argument.

If you entered a raffle for £10 and there are 300 entries of if you bought 10 tickets for £1 with 3000 entries I believe the probability of winning or losing is exactly the same. Is the probability of losing different as you increase the number of outcomes

Probability of winning is 1/300 for the first and 10/3000 for the second which are the same

If you buy a fixed number of tickets probability of losing increases as the number of outcomes increases

but if the number of tickets bought is proportional to the number of outcomes (as here) the probability of losing is constand, independent of the number of outcomes
