What is the solution

The function is given by f(x) = {x/2 + 1, x > 1 2 - x, x ≥ 1 What is the value of lim x → 1 f(x)?


A. 5/2

B. 3/2

C. 1/2

D. 1

Is there a typo in the problem? If I plug in 1 to the first expression, I get 1/2+1 = 3/2. If I do the same for the second expression, I get 2-1 = 1. Since they don't approach the same value from the left and right, the limit would be does not exist, which is not a choice. :(
