finding equation of the parabola

Hello, 

I have a question that asks to find the equation of the two lines so that I can find (fog)(0). One equation is shown on a graph and the other is shown in a table. It says for the table: for g(x): (0,-1),(-1,2),(2,4)

and the points shown on the graph are: (0,-1),(-1,2),(2,0). I think I have to use the formula f(x)= (x+(point crossing x axis))multiplied by(x-(other point crossing x axis)) and you get your answer but when I plugged in the information I got a weird answer that I don't think is right for the both of them.

There is no answer.

 

The 3 points in the table can be used to find a parabola that passes through them.

 

Similarly the 3 points on the graph can also be used to define a parabola. 

 

The table and the graph share 2 points. The 3rd points are different. For the 3rd points the x values are both 2 but the y values are 4 and 0. There can only be one y value for a given x value.
