If you take the y= x2 with a domain x > 0 they will flip over the y = x line symmetrically.
You could also take y = x2 and x = y2 which are both parabolas but x = y2 is not a function.

asked 11/02/20If you started with a square root function and needed to find the inverse, you would end up with a parabola. Graphically, those would never line up symmetrically. What do you have to do to fix this problem?
