Standard form is Ax+By=C
A, B, and C being constants.
From the information provided it is possible to find the slope. With the slope, you can use the point slope formula to find your equation in slope intercept form. After which, you can reorganize to match standard form.
slope = m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(x1,y1) = (-2,6)
(x2,y2) = (5,2)
slope = m = (2-6)/(5-(-2)) = (-4)/(7) = -4/7
point slope formula: y - y1 = m(x-x1)
y -6 = (-4/7)(x-(-2))
y-6 = (-4/7)(x+2)
y - 6 = -4x/7 - 8/7
y = -4x/7 - 8/7 - 6 = -4x/7 - 8/7 - 36/ 6 = -4x/7 - 44/6
y = -4x/7 - 44/6
Rewriten in Ax+By=C ( add the term containing X to both sides, cancelling it out on the right hand side of the equation)
(4/7) x + 1y = -44/6
hence,
A = 4/7
B = 1
C = -44/6
