I am interpreting the question as how many combinations of 3 pencils can be formed from 22+13+12+15=62 pencils
C = 62! = 62*61*60 = 37820
62 3 ---- ------------
59!31 3*2*1
There are 22 red pencils, 13 green, 12 yellow and 15 blue. If they are evenly distrubted into groups of 3 with different colors, how many groups will you have?

Thank you! One question though is that the question says that the groups of 3 have to be different colors. Wouldn't the way you are doing it count 3 reds as a possible group? That's the part I am struggling with.07/08/20
