Draw a horizontal line and cross it with the graph of the function.
Mentally move the line up... When the line stops to cross the function graph, there is the max of the function.
Assuming all points from answers a-d are on the graph, the absolute max is the point with the highest y value: point (4, 5).
Your job is also to find the absolute min of the graph. Repeat the process above, move the line down, and find what is the last point that the horizontal line will cross.
