As criminologists, can we predict when crimes will be committed, where crimes will be committed, what kind of crimes will be committed and who will commit crimes? If yes, how so? If not, why not?

Good afternoon. Criminology is the multi-disciplinary and scientific approach to studying criminal behavior. To which, Criminologist focus on the nature (etiology) and extent of crime.

We can't predict specific determinants (who, what, when, where and how) of crime. Yet, we can apply the Routine Activities Theory to criminal behaviors and statistically analyze the specifics of certain crimes.
