Solve the following inequalities:

(a) 3 | x − 4 | − 3 < 0

(b) | x² - x - 1 | > 1

(a) 3 | x − 4 | − 3 < 0

3x+12-3<0

3x+9<0

x<3

I'm thinking; since x has no value right off the bat; I can't give you an absolute value.

(b) | x² - x - 1 | > 1
