Imagine that such a die is rolled twice in succession and that the face values of the two rolls are added together. This sum is recorded as the outcome of a single trial of a random experiment. Compute the probability of each of the following events. Event : The sum is greater than 7 . Event : The sum is an even number. Write your answers as exact fractions.

Create a 2-D table of 36 possible sums of roll of two die, each die roll ranging from 1 to 6.

Count number of those sums which add up to greater than 7. Probability is that number / 36 (verify answer is 15/36)

Count number of those sums which add up to an even number. Probability is that number / 36 (verify answer is 18/36 = 1/2).
